Privacy Policy

The short version. You don't need an account to use ShineBead. Your designs are saved on your own device, not on our servers. We don't sell your information, and we don't use advertising trackers.
Who we are
ShineBead is a small, family-run creative business that makes handmade jewelry (ShineBeadCrafts), bead patterns (ShineBeadPatterns) and the ShineBead pattern design app. In this policy, "we" means ShineBead. You can reach us any time at shinebeadcrafts@gmail.com.
Your designs
Patterns you create in the ShineBead app, and the beads you add to My beads, are stored locally: in your browser's storage on the web, or on your phone or tablet in the mobile app. They are not sent to us. If you clear your browser data or uninstall the app, they are removed, so export anything you want to keep.
When you export a PDF or image, the file is created on your device and saved or shared wherever you choose.
Information we collect
- When you email us, we receive your email address and message, and use them only to reply.
- Basic technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider may log technical information such as your IP address and browser type to keep the site secure and working. These logs are kept for a short time.
- Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers.
We do not use advertising cookies or sell, rent or trade personal information.
Shops on other sites
ShineBeadCrafts and ShineBeadPatterns are sold through Etsy. When you buy there, Etsy's own privacy policy applies to your purchase and payment details.
Future features
We plan to offer optional accounts with cloud backup and Premium features. If you choose to use them, we will store what is needed to provide them (such as your email address and saved patterns) and purchases will be handled by the App Store, Google Play or our payment provider. We will update this policy before those features launch.
Children
ShineBead is a creative tool suitable for all ages, and it does not ask for personal information to work. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you. Since we hold very little, just email us and we will help.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will let you know in the app or on this site.
