Using ShineBead

These terms apply to shinebead.org and the ShineBead pattern design app on the web, iPhone and Android. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use ShineBead.

Your designs belong to you

Patterns you create in ShineBead are yours. You may use them however you like, including making and selling jewelry from them or selling the patterns themselves. We don't claim any rights to your designs.

Our designs and patterns

The starter designs in the app, the patterns we sell through ShineBeadPatterns, our photos, text and the ShineBead name and logo belong to ShineBead. You may use our patterns to make jewelry for yourself or as gifts. Please don't copy, resell, redistribute or claim them as your own. If you would like to sell pieces made from our patterns, ask us; we are usually happy to say yes.

Acceptable use

• Don't use ShineBead to break the law or infringe anyone else's rights, including copying other designers' work.
• Don't try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Don't copy or resell the app itself.

Premium and purchases

Some features, such as cloud storage and exports, may become part of a Premium plan or be available as one-time export passes. Prices and what is included will be shown before you buy. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play follow their refund policies.

Saving your work

Your designs are stored on your device. We are not able to recover designs that are lost when browser data is cleared, a device is lost or the app is removed, so please export copies of work you care about.

Bead colors and quantities

Colors on screen and in print are approximations of real beads, and bead counts and weights are estimates. Always check bead codes and quantities before buying supplies.

No warranty

ShineBead is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, ShineBead is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the site or app.

Changes

We may update these terms as ShineBead grows. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use ShineBead after a change means you accept the updated terms.
